Six years ago, they planted 300 carefully selected Arabica trees, nurturing them with the same meticulous care as their prized tea plants. Employing innovative farming techniques inspired by their tea cultivation, they have refined their irrigation, shading, and pruning methods to optimise bean growth. Their approach emphasizes natural ecosystem balance, leveraging Alishan’s rich volcanic soil, mist-laden mornings, and cool evening breezes to create an optimal environment for slow and even bean maturation.

Alishan’s high-altitude terroir is among the best in Taiwan for coffee cultivation. The combination of cool temperatures, ample cloud cover, and well-draining mountainous terrain allows coffee cherries to develop rich complexity while maintaining a delicate acidity. These conditions enhance sweetness and aroma, resulting in a cup that is both refined and full of depth.
