Dongshan Coffee in Tainan can be said to be the hometown of Taiwanese coffee. The harvest seasons runs from October to November. Along the roads around Dongshan you can see coffee trees turning red all over the mountains and hillsides. Harvesting fruits and roasting coffee have entered the culture of thee area.
The history of coffee planting in Dongshan originated from the Japanese colonial era. The coffee planting area is mainly distributed on Highway 175, which is about 700 meters above sea level, so it is called "175 Coffee Road" or "Dongshan Coffee" highway. There are cafes throughout the area to take advantage of amazing landscape views while enjoying premium taste and the strong aroma of coffee.
Village Chief's Manor Coffee is located amongst the Liziyuan tribe in the plateau of Dongshan District, Tainan City, which is 900 meters above sea level.Surrounded by mountains on three sides and the Jianan Plain in front, the environment is beautiful and the climate is cool. The average annual temperature is between 20 and 28 degrees.
The village chief Coffee Ecological Park is located at an altitude of 800 meters. There are forest conservation areas around, and the ecological environment is excellent.The beautiful village chief coffee garden was originally just a place to receive guests and officials. Later, the village head established the first group of Dongshan Coffee farmers.
